The camp site is a public works project in Animal Crossing: New Leaf.On any day of the week, a random non-resident villager might set up camp at your campsite. This is a villager who does not currently live in your town. You can play mini-games with the camper. The campermight even decide to become a permanent resident of your town.
Building the Camp Site
The camp site is available in your list of public works from the beginning.Just sit in your mayor chair and choose it from the list of public works to build.Note! After the camp site is built, it can't be demolished, so choose itslocation carefully!
When a Camper Visits
A camper might set up a tent (or an igloo in winter) at your camp site. This can happen on any day of the week.The camper is a villager who does not currently live in your town.

Sometimes when you talk to a camper, he or she will express a desire to moveinto your town. Campers can only move in if you currently have only nine villagersin your town and there is nobody moving in tomorrow (indicated bya rope fence with a sign where the new house will be).You can tell the camper if you want him or her to move intoyour town or not. If you tell the camper that you want him or her to move in,the camper will move into your town within the next few days.

Choice Game
The camper will have five secret items. The camper will mention each item one at a time. Each timethe camper mentions an item, you have the choice to buy that item and end the game. If you don't buyany of the first four items, you have to buy the last one.
Cheap Item Game
The camper will play a random guessing game with you. If you get enough correct guesses, the camperwill sell you an item for a low price or give it to you for free. If you don't get enough correctguesses, you have to buy the item at a high price. The guessing games are random, with no way to tellwhich is the correct choice.
Sell Price Game
The camper will want to buy something that you are carrying. If you agree, the camper will play a random guessing game with you. If you get enough correct guesses, the villager will pay you a highprice for your item. If you don't get enough correct guesses, the villager will pay you a low price.The guessing games are random, with no way to tell which is the correct choice.

This page explains how to go to the island resort. Tortimer will tell you about it, then Kapp'n can take you there.
Step 1: Upgrade to a House
When you first start the game, you live in a tent. Pay off your loanto upgrade to a house. Next, you have to talk to Tom Nook to get your nexthome loan, then pay it off with the ABD machine in the post office.You have to pay off this first house loan before you can go to the island resort.
Step 2: Talk to Tortimer
After you pay off the loan mentioned in the previous step, the next time you play, Isabelle will introduce Tortimer at the start-up screen. After this, go down to the dock on your beach to find Tortimer standing there.Talk to him and he'll tell you about the island.Note! If you forget to talk to Tortimer, just pay off anotherhouse loan to make him show up again.
Step 3: Wait a Day
After you talk to Tortimer on your dock, you have to wait until the next day.Then, go to the dock again. Kapp'n will be there in a boat.
Step 4: Pay Kapp'n to Take You to the Island
To go to the island resort, pay Kapp'n 1000 bells. Then you will hop into theboat and he will take you to the island.

If you don't feel like waiting through Kapp'n's sea shanty that he sings on theway to (and from) the island, press the B button repeatedly until he stops.
Things to do on the Island
When you are on the island, you can go on tours,collect fruit, and catch bugs and fish that might not be available in your village. Leila, the little girlKappa, will buy things from you at 5% of their Re-Tail selling price. You can win medals by goingon tours, then use the medals to buy things from Grams's souvenir shop. Sometimes she sells a membership to Club Tortimer, which allows you to go to the island with a random player over the Internet.
